The Sowing the Future project in the La María indigenous community classified as a finalist in ECLAC’s “Successful experiences in social innovation” contest. This social responsibility initiative led by COMFENALCO Antioquia with support from its employees, the Generalitat Valenciana through the Spanish DNGO Petjades, the Government of Antioquia and the SENA, is one of the 12 most innovative, sustainable and replicable proposals in Latin America, out of 874 that were nominated.
COMFENALCO Antioquia gets involved in a project for disabled
In order to generate and implement integral solutions which will contribute to improving the standard of living of disabled persons, COMFENALCO Antioquia has gotten involved with this program led by the Corona Foundation with the aim of aiding productive job insertion for this population in four Colombian cities.
Juntos: Social Protection Network for Overcoming Extreme Poverty
Last July, the temporary union represented by COMFENALCO Antioquia and made up of this Compensation Bureau, the Superior Academy of Arts and Ikala, was selected as a partner for operating the Juntos Network Program in the Antioquenian micro-regions of Urabá, the East, Bajo Cauca, the North and the West; JUNTOS is a strategy under the leadership of the National Government, through Acción Social.
Living the Park, socially responsible tourism
In order to favor local sustainable development and socially responsible tourism in the Piedras Blancas Ecological Park, COMFENALCO Antioquia is operating the Viviendo el Parque (Living the Park) Project. 50 families and 25 youths have benefited from this project.
