Navarra Government approves resources for attention to infants

On June 12, COMFENALCO Antioquia received notification from the Spanish DNGO Compartir Navarra where they approve delivery of €126.000 for executing the Center for Integral Attention to Childhood in Chigorodó – Year 1 project. This project seeks to improve access to initial education programs, health promotion and recreational activities for 4,626 boys and girls under the age of 6 in the lowest socio-economic levels of the municipality.
 

 
 
 

Satisfactory end to the “SAVIA: For a good beginning” project

 

The execution stage of the “SAVIA: for a good beginning” project has ended with successful results.  95% of the population of gestating and lactating mothers and children under 5 in the municipalities of Turbo and Necoclí were vaccinated and treated for parasites, 550 people were attended with nutrition complements and over 400 were benefited with productive plots of lands.  These were some of the main achievements.

 
 
 

A visit to Spain strengthens our ties with our collaborators

 

In order to strengthen and affirm our alliances with international collaborators, as well as to carry out follow-up on current projects, Dr. Adriana Giraldo Múnera, representing COMFENALCO Antioquia, travelled to Spain and met up with important institutions and DNGOs.


 
 

The new OIM Mission Director for Colombia gets to know the work carried out together with COMFENALCO Antioquia

 

José Ángel Oropeza Rojas, the new OIM Mission Director visited COMFENALCO Antioquia to get to know the social work carried out by the Bureau, and to acquire more knowledge about the work carried out in the Center for Youth Reference and Opportunity – CROJ – and the main results of the “Young People Working for their Rights” project.

 

 

New Head of Corporate Relations

As of May 12, Viviana Diaz Mosquera is the new head of Corporate Relations for COMFENALCO Antioquia. Dr. Adriana Giraldo Munera, who held this position, became the Management Sub-director for COMFENALCO Antioquia on the same date.
