
Thanks to the approval of resources from the Government of Navarra through the Compartir Navarra NGOD, COMFENALCO Antioquia, the ÉXITO Foundation and the Apartadó Mayor’s Office will build, equip and put into effect a Center for the Integral Attention of Children with coverage for those families victims of the flooding of the Apartadó River on June 4th, last year, including boys and girls under the age of 6, pregnant and lactating mothers, fathers and community mothers.
Among the services which will be rendered through this Center the following stand out:
Initial education programs, such as:
- Adequate stimulation program
- Group home program
- Preschool for the levels of kindergarten and transition.
- A community games room for the children which include the service of travelling boxes of children’s literature.
Programs for promoting health and preventing disease:
- Periodic anthropometric measurements.
- Removal of parasites
- Daily nutrition.
- Dental health.
- Vaccination.
Programs in training for socializing agents, specifically for fathers and community mothers:
- Human Formation.
- Agricultural and Ecological Training.
- Adult literacy.
- Training for the Integral Attention of Children and training in Food Manipulation.
The first year of the project includes the construction and equipment of the Center with a cost of €245.172, of which the Government of Navarra through the Spanish NGOD Compartir Navarra contributes €119.405; on its behalf COMFENALCO Antioquia contributes €67.988, the EXITO Founation contributes €29.980 and the Apartadó Mayor’s Office participates with a plot of land valued at €27.799.
