During 2006, COMFENALCO negotiated Development Cooperation resources for 7.184 million pesos. These negotiations were carried out directly or through strategic partnerships with national and international partners who share the Bureau’s philosophy of working for better living conditions for the Department’s most vulnerable communities.
Of this total, 4.383 were contributed by international institutions and the remaining 2.801 were the local counterpart, contributed by COMFENALCO, its employees and national public and private organizations.
These resources finance 6 projects of integral development, the implementation of some of which was begun this year.
Besides the aforementioned, in 2006 COMFENALCO executed International Cooperation projects to the tune of 4.142 million pesos which had been approved in previous years.
91.668 inhabitants of Antioquia, including children, youths, women and indigenous groups, benefit from the approved and executed projects. Said projects are aimed at improving the beneficiaries’ access to education, health, nutrition, recreation and promoting the creation and strengthening of small businesses.
