Financial Support for self-employment of women

FormatoIMG3150x180.jpgWith the goal of continuing the intervention process with 67 women from Medellín and Bello, who were benefitted by the first phase of the Project Integral training for women entrepreneurs from Medellín and Bello, the Government of Navarra, through the Compartir Navarra NGOD approved €42.876 for COMFENALCO Antioquia in order to co-finance the second phase of the intervention.

The project’s first year consisted of training the beneficiaries with 400 hours of training in basic labors, human and social-labor related training.  During this second phase, which will last for 8 months, the intervention process will be complemented with the following three strategies:

  1. 40 hours of reinforcement in social and labor-related training, specifically in business planning and performance of strengthening activities for self-employment initiatives such as a Entrepreneurship Fair, activities for approaching small businesspersons, and business initiatives.
  2. Equipment with a collection of tools for all beneficiaries once their training program is completed.  This basic kit will allow them to generate their own income through the performance of a productive activity.
  3. Access to a line of credit for those women who wish to start a business or a family business and also have viable business plans.

The project has a total cost of €65.778, of which 65% corresponds to international resources, €19.041 are the contributions made by COMFENALCO Antioquia to the proposal and €3.861 are the resources contributed by the Mayor’s Office of Bello.
