Committed with its social endeavors and with the joint development of businesses in Antioquia, COMFENALCO and ICONTEC developed in 2005 and 2006 the project “Implementation of a Quality Management System for Social Foundations”, through which 13 organizations received training and financial support for implementing a quality management system.  

The project, which received financing from a number of private institutions in the Department of Antioquia and which were acquired by COMFENALCO and ICONTEC, had as its objective granting a Certificate of Quality under the ISO 9001-2000 standard to 13 Non-Governmental Organizations and enable their access to improved management practices in order to generate credibility in their procedures and fulfillment of established goals among the institutions or persons that finance them.

In 2007 the project will seek support from International Cooperation in order to have sufficient resources to implement a Quality Management system in a greater number of social institutions.
