LogoBalon.jpgDuring the past month of August the A Ball for a Better Life project was set in motion, which benefits 200 boys, girls and youths from the 13th commune of the City of Medellín.  This initiative is co-financed by the Andean Promotion Corporation – CAF, the Colombian Family Welfare Institute – ICBF, the Medellín Mayor’s Office through Metrojuventud, Coldeportes and COMFENALCO Antioquia, and is managed nationally by the National Federation of Family Compensation Bureaus – FEDECAJAS.

The project contemplates setting up Sport Schools for promoting Artiulo3Interna.jpgsports as a tool for development and physical activity as a complement for an all-round education; it also endeavors to rescue values such as tolerance and cohabitation through spaces for training, learning, recreation and healthy competition.

This project is part of an initiative being carried out across the country to benefit a total of 600 children; 200 in Medellín, the same number in Bogotá, attended by the Afidro Bureau of Family Compensation and the remaining 200 in Cali, attended COMFENALCO Valle.

Representatives of the co-financing institutions and those who will implement the Project in Bogotá and Cali as well as all project participants attended the inauguration act.
